At the end of the day, all we have is laws. You rightly point out that Obama doesn't respect them. I won't abandon laws and elections because Obama perverts them. On the contrary, I'll demand all the more that he follow them. So while I understand your opinion, I don't agree in claiming or implying that the USA is no better than Putinstan. We're gaining ground on Obama and his supporters and I won't succumb to defeatism.

Read about the collapse of the Roman Republic. Do you think it would have made one whit of difference if Pompey would have defeated Caeser; or perhaps Sulla would have been a man of the people? Hell, when Octavian assumed power he assured the Senate that he was going to restore the Republic. And he continued to issue such assurances through out his reign.
