I remember that idiot richard gere, proclaimed buddhist, after 9/11, said that we needed to love the responsible parties, not attack them.

There's a place on earth for fools. The news isn't it.

The Bible talks about people “individually” praying for and loving those who abuse them. The Bible also says that governments must punish evil-doers.

I think the government needs to step in and use the sword God gave them to punish the evil-doers.

Romans 13:3-4;

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
