Grania, I’ve learned the hard way what I can and CAN’T eat. SOY is not something I can eat, I’m Hypothyroid and it is not allowed in my diet.

I have Gastroparesis
http://www.healthline.com/health/gastroparesis#Overview1

FAT in large quantities is a NO. Raw veggies and some fruits the high fiber ones, dense meats that need a lot of chewing are also a NO. Even my beloved corn, green beans, sweet potatoes, are a NO. I digest the green part of the bean, not the legume inside. Those are another NO eat item.

What little fat I eat is in the form of butter and in my eggs. And I don’t give a flip about the Internist and his cholesterol testing. I eat what I can digest best.

Why do they not ask when they tell you to take fish oil, if you are allergic to sea food? I am also slightly dairy intolerant and have to limit the amount I take in or I bloat up real bad. Already have level 8 AB pain. There is NO cure for GP.

These are the 2 most prescribed motility drugs. Both are bad. Our FDA won’t approve Domperidone. And you can readily see why. If you get a script for it it is from a FOREIGN country. Europe’s’ MHRA restricted April 2014 and our Gastros are still Scripting for it. NO ONE CHECKS if it has been restricted or banned in other countries.

I agree 100% with your approach to dieting. The goal should be to find the foods that work best for ones system. I don't consume dairy fat because of the antibiotics in the milk that settle there, and also because I still have an imperfect lung. Some people believe dairy fat is something pneumonia cells thrive on. I very rarely have soy, and don't see nutritionally why I would. Almond milk works very well for me.

You'd think with all of the knowledge that comes from DNA diets would be tailored to what's best for an individual. I believe that with well-planned eating, drugs (legal and illegal) just get in the way of a body's ability to stay healthy and self-heal when necessary.

Thanks for all of those references. I read as much as I can about nutrition, impacts of drugs, and natural health.
