It would be interesting to see the poll results distributed geographically. I’d bet that Walker’s high numbers were driven by responses from respondents in WI media markets.

I’d say none of these ego driven clowns can win without the Conservative vote.

The fact that Walker is already at 10% and has no pre-campaign buzz is a very good sign.

Attaching too much meaning to this “poll” is stupid. If Romney and the Republicans think this is a sign that he is going to win, we are doomed.

Romney is not a good choice. He should go back to whatever he was doing, and drop the idea of being president.

Neither will I

Some say the definition of insanity is repeating the same action over and over and expecting a different result.

Calling Walker an “ego driven clown” is a little over the top. He certainly isn’t a clown...

Well, guess right now that there’s only a 10% chance that I’ll vote for president in ‘16.

Again, he’s the well publicized governor of a neighboring state. Romney and Brown had early polls in NH that were driven by exposure in the MA media markets.

Great story about NH, btw: when Eugene McCarthy ran in the Dem primary there a sizable % of his votes came from people who thought he was related to Joe McCarthy and would be tough on Communism.

Debate the “clown” label if you wish... But my original premise is still the same.. “none of them can win without the Conservative vote.”

The “why” isn’t as important as the fact that he’s now in the mix. After all, these are voters as you say who vote based on “Oh, that’s Joe McCarthy’s cousin”.

We all (Freepers) love Cruz and most here dislike Romney, including me, so what is wrong with Walker?

Walker is pals with the GOPe (Priebus, Ryan, and Rove). He is soft on immigration. He was completely AWOL when Ted Cruz was fighting Obamacare and defending the Constitution. He made job creation campaign promises that he did not fulfill. The ethics charges (however bogus they might be) are going to be a significant drag on any presidential campaign he might run.

Moreover, Walker could not deliver Wisconsin in the 2012 presidential election. A small but significant number of Walker voters also voted to re-elect Obama. These same voters will deliver Wisconsin to Hillary or to Elizabeth Warren if Walker were to be the Republican 2016 nominee.

Finally, Walker is being set up to stop Ted Cruz in the event Bush or Romney don’t.

A conservative would have to be crazy to support Walker over Ted Cruz.
