Definitely made the difference in ‘08 and ‘12 IMO, but in 2016 no Dem is going to get that vote back...Shrillary or Fauxahontas? Like voting for your high school principal! ;)
I disagree. I think we are at least 2 generations from even the *possibility* that a statistically significant portion of the black vote will leave the Dems.
I don't see the GOPe selling the concept of self reliance to black voters, or anyone else for that matter. And the flip side, I don't believe the GOPe/RINOs can out-pander the Dems or successfully brand the Dems as racists like has been done to the GOP.
We'll find out, that's for certain.
