To: Extremely Extreme Extremist

Lets say Sally is a nurse in a hospital. She is looking to be CEO of that hospital. When she becomes a CEO, she gets to pick a charge-nurse to be in charge of all other nurses.

Now, would you call Sally’s choice to be the CEO as “quitting” too?

Your analogy is both specious and irrelevant. Nobody is filing frivolous lawsuits against Sally.
