BOEHNER ANNOUNCES BROADER IMMIGRATION EFFORT TO COLLEAGUES

The House will quickly begin considering broader immigration legislation in weeks ahead even as Republicans are likely to remain mired in conflict with President Obama over a far-reaching executive action that extended amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, Speaker John Boehner announced to members at a closed-door meeting this morning.

“We’re going to get an immigration bill moving pretty quickly,” one GOP lawmaker told Breitbart News.

Rep. Aaron Schock (R-IL) said the outlines of the specific legislation that will be considered are still unclear, but he said he expects in time that Boehner will bring bills addressing border security, visa reform, aliens brought to the U.S. illegally as children and “what do you do with the 12 million who are here illegally.”

“I’m not sure that there’s a bill. He’s been pretty adamant that our immigration solution be a step-by-step approach. I think there will be a border security bill but I don’t think we’ll take what the last Congress did wholesale, I think this Congress will work its will,” Schock said.

“Certainly, you have to do visas because 40 percent of those living here illegally came on a legal visa and have overstayed their visa, so we need an improved visa enforcement program. And then, you gotta deal with the kids, and then you gotta answer the question what do you do with the 12 million who are here illegally. So I think those step-by-step bills are what he outlined right before the last election that was the goal for the House. And I think now that we have a Senate that will work with us, that’s the plan,” Schock said.

A GOP aide said Boehner only spoke in conference about moving forward on border security legislation, not other topics of immigration reform...

They are the Representatives, not of the People, but of The Lobby, Agencies, and Bureaus. And they want them bribed, culpable, and as incapacitated as possible, so only the Lobby can make decisions.

Our elected leaders have turned what was supposed to be The Legislative Houses representing the people through election to a house of ill repute with lobbyist as their paying customers. Any person as an individual should be able to petition congress. I don't believe it was ever the founders intentions that corporations or agencies be able to hire congress and have privileged exclusive access to representation which is exactly what is going on today.

Two solutions. Stop the Oligarchy with term limits and limit lobbying to individual taxpayers. Meaning if you want to communicate with a Rep on a specific issue then go there yourself.

Founding Fathers had it right. Minimize government corruption by limiting their (small ‘c’) constitutional authority to act outside of very narrow limits. No reason to buy a pol if he really can’t help you.

Very true indeed. Over time it has become more and more corrupt. For all practical purposes our government has been taken away. With that both parties leadership are laughing with a middle finger given to US. The Talking Heads on TV will explain what a good thing this is for us. Party Worshipers of course will agree with self appointed {voice of the party cough cough} Strategist talking points.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. We're being played, as usual, and they'll all have a good laugh at our expense at their cocktail parties.

Exactly.

“We’ll NEVER be able to deport XYZ”. Put a bounty out, and you’ll see ‘em FLEE back home; I doubt you’d see any re-return and a lower case-load on the courts

That he is. The facts of the matter is: We do not need new immigration law[s]. We only need to enforce the existing law[s]

Right you are. If the immigration law[s] currently on the books were or had been enforced, there would be no immigration problem.

I was being flippant.

I mean we do not need more laws (words). We have enough of those. We need to take action on the laws we have already.

The drunk Boehner wants "a beer summit" with his hero and blackmailer, Hussein. Anyone know a good bartender?
