I am not defending Kiffin, I am a USC fan and was glad to see him go and correctly predicted his firing (though I thought he would last the season, that was until the ASU debacle). But damn, 'Bama was 12-2.

Calling that 'ruinous chaos' is hyperbole. If the Tide falls to 8-6, your point will increase in validity.

To a true Tide fan the game plan and continued use of a faulty plan (as with the OU game in the semis) is chaos in action. When Bama had the ball on the 24 of OU, every play should have been a running play until a score was made. Kiffin wanted to win ‘flashy’, to feed his ego and hype his ‘football brilliance’. There were several games during the year that this happened, one of which Bama lost to Ole Miss. It, the kiffin flash, happened to work against Auburn, but it was a win on greatest risk.
