That’s just it, it’s not more games.
A team is in a division with another 6 or 7 teams, so they would play the 6 games in their division, plus one or two games outside of their division to preserve some traditional rivalries.
So that’s 8 conference games just as now, plus two more games for the semis and conference championship, so that’s now 10 games, then plus the National semis and championship. So there it’s 12 games.
What it does do is eliminate the cream puff games, and sorry MAC and other lesser conferences, you get to go to the FCS, although some teams in those conferences could also be taken into some of the four mega-conferences to get it to about 90 teams in the FBS.
You are talking about an entire reschedule that leaves out the lower non-conference opponents.
How is that fair to any school trying to step up?
