What legitimate purpose does the US military have being on twitter? Some people have too much time on their hands.

I;m of the opinion that the twitter presence...may have been a ploy from the get go. They may have been Encouraged...by certain individuals to open a twitter account so that it could.. at the proper time ..be hacked.
