I am not gonna carry water for the guy but I think he was right in not going to Paris. The security, travel, and other associated costs for the U.S. and France could be better spent elsewhere. Plus somehow the press would have made it all about the wonderfulfantasticmiraclegenius of the marvelous one.
The same reason about security, travel and other associated costs for the USA can be made for ANY trip.
With this, we might as well cancel Air Force One and let the President just do long distance communication.
