“It will be probably the No. 1,” public safety issue, said Assemblyman Reggie Jones-Sawyer, D-Los Angeles, who chairs the Legislative Black Caucus.

No I would say that would be illegal aliens killing California citizens. This call to action is somewhat ironic in that 3 California State Senators are currently serving prison sentences. All Democrats by the way.

Why is it that these liberals never try to do anything to protect the public from the criminals? Just who, exactly, do these "representatives" represent?

They won’t protest the dozens of shootings by gang members every month in Los Angeles alone. I think the politicians are getting drug money bribes to look the other way.

Seems a bit upside down and backwards considering it’s the criminal violence that brings out the police.

I never understood the no knock raids. The people are inside a home, they are not going anywhere. Call them up and tell them to come outside. If they do not then lob some tear gas inside <- only for violent criminals.

Easy fix: amend the state constitution to (a) make police officers personally liable for damages in any civil-rights case, (b) prohibit no-knock raids by civil authorities in any circumstance [with the mandatory punishment, after conviction, of the police involved, the police chief and the authorizing judge evicted from office with all retirement benefits forfeit], and (c) make warrantless searches [upon conviction] entail the forfeiture of retirement benefits and mandatory eviction from office.

Why not just outlaw the police? Trendy Kalifornia should demand action...er...I mean...no action.

...the politicians are getting drug money bribes to look the other way.

The Bolshecrat politicians are more likely to have government checks mailed to the street gangs to provide protection money for the people in the gang areas.

Well, as I understand it the modern model of police is really quite recent.
