Apple will always cost more, as they make their own hardware and software—there is no competition on their products. Nice computers though, but not as functional because most software is made for the PC. I do not mean to discourage the purchase of an Apple for anyone, just stating facts. Most people won’t miss the software that PCs have that Apple does not. It is a big deal for hardcore gamers...

However, a Windows based computer shouldn’t get viruses, either. The home user is much more prone to a virus than the corporate user, because most corporate computers install a corporate image of the operating system without all the bloatware and the corporate network will impose policies that keep the computers safe. If you treated your home network as you would a corporate network you probably wouldn’t be getting most viruses.

I think I’ll write a guide on preventing viruses at home...

Thanks much RG.

I have fought virus forever and I’m tired ofsome Russian somewhere taking over my computer. I don’t need the bother.

And I’ll tell you something else. my computer needs are much less than in my past. Example, I am using my Kiindle and am able to do most of what I need a computer for.

Of course I need a computer....the Kindle ain’t enough. Point being I need the Internet, a good word processor and a program to doctor up pictures.

My days of needing a spreadsheet and database....yada, yada....are done.

As for the puppy, it’s an American bull dog My son-in-law, no longer living with my daughter, got a male and female dog with plans to breed them. They broke up right around the time that the female got pregnant, poor thing less than six months old.

She had ten puppies,,,,,one died, nine lived.

Daughter, God bless and did I tell you she is the sickly type?

Anyway she had big plans she was going to sell the puppies at almost a grand each.

Heh.

I took one because my dog, a rescue dog that I adore and who has been a great dog....but she NEEDS another dog.

I never thought a puppy....that’s why I got Jackie.4 and a half years old....so NOT a puppy.

Daughter is never going to sell those puppies but they are quite beautiful.

Anyway...new computer,new dog...Happy New Year

Guess who is on Fox news Sunday? Mine senator...Chris Coons.

On Keystone pipeline....what?

Wants congress to NOT over-ride the president’s veto.

Let me tell, Delawareans WANT that pipeline.

Coons...jerk.
