I did some quick research. Nigeria's largest income producer is oil. The money that has been generated has not trickled down to the population, and some critics state that the lust for oil profits has meant less attention has been given to agriculture and other sectors. It looks like internal security is another government obligation that has been ignored.

Think of the mess now. Oil profits are being decimated by the lower profits, so the elite won't have the money to contain the maniacs even if they wanted to. Formerly stable African countries such as Egypt and Libya are destabilized, courtesy of US policy.

Does anyone in the world know what to do about this? I doubt it. After all, there are priorities....like destabilizing more regions of the world, babysitting with their own maniac populations that have been allowed to get out of control and supporting our good buddies in Saudi Arabia.
