Things are going to have to get alot worse in CA before the brainstems that currently inhabit this state vote for a conservative.

The sad part is that the California GOP is so weak, and the California voters are so besotted with Leftism and Socialism, that no challenger could knock this extreme Leftwing radical off in an election.

Replace her with a conservative? Quit already. It's a waste of time and effort. Didn't Tuesdays vote for bonehead prove to all you hopefuls that there is no such thing as a conservative in Washington?

What do the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Washington Conservatives all have in common? Take a guess.

We must use the power of the States through an Article V convention now. Anything else is just wasting valuable and very limited time.

I’m with you on the Convention...America is broken.
I heard on the radio that the states can initiate a Convention without the Congress. Does anyone know how that works?
I think we need to start hitting the State Legislatures to revolt.

Unfortunately the voters who kept her in office will be voting again in 2016.

Good news: Boxer is retiring in ‘16.

Bad news: Idiot voters in California (my home state, btw) will simply replace her with another brainless liberal harpy.

She’s likely the first of many who won’t or don’t like being in the minority, are taking their marbles and going home rather than playing along. Short answer, she’s a sore loser who hates being in the minority.

” So Babs “You *Will* Call Me Senator” Boxer’s on the way out.Time to cash in that $10 million/yr lobbying job she’s dreamed of”

Why not? Judas goat Trent Lott made 8 million in 2014 as a lobbyist.

The first of MANY democrats that will be announcing the same in the near future.

All the articles about how good the field would be for Democrats in 2016 didn’t take into account the flood of retirements that will be coming between now and then on the Democratic side.

This happens every time power switches, the ones on the losing side dont want to be in the minority and they start to retire in mass.

We may not be able to pick up this particular seat, but I suspect a TON of other democrats will be choosing not to run again in areas where we could pick up the seat.

True, but the important thing to consider is that she’s in the minority as of Tuesday, and she’s not resigning.

So the takeaway here isn’t that she doesnt want to be in the minority. It’s that she doesn’t want to be in a minority that lasts more than two years.

IOW she’s concluded that the Dems aren’t getting the Senate back in 2016, or the next couple few cycles after that. If she didn’t think that she’d run again, so she could have at least two years (possbly four or six) to go out as member of the majority.
