Then change the law. In a sane world, we don’t make rules up on the fly.

It appears there were PEOPLE under 18 also drinking. Since they aren’t of military age, maybe you’ll see the wisdom in arresting dad for their delinquency.

Respectfully, that was the sentiment during the Vietnam conflict, and in a lot of states, like NY and CT, the drinking age was lowered to 18. Problem was, a lot of 18 year olds would buy for their younger siblings, or have their IDs “borrowed”, and a lot of minors were getting maimed, or killed, as a result. I know, I was a minor during that era.

It might be a reasonable compromise to allow those who serve, and are under 21, to consume beer or wine, on base, but not restore the 18 year old age limit for the general population.
