Yah, you’re interested. And, why do you suppose the
info is there for all to see in the first place?
As long as the bio info isn’t used to stock a poster
around the forum it is legit. But I don’t care what
you or anybody else has to say, generally, but that
you reside in New York piqued my interest given the
puzzling nature of that first post in this thread.
I say that it is puzzling because here is a run-of
-the-mill California hater post and my checking revealed
that it came from a poster in New York of all places.
Here is a poster from liberal controlled New York
slamming liberal controlled California. Both interesting
and outrageous. Maybe you can direct me to a post where
you universally insult all New Yorkers as you did all
Californians (I fully expect you to ignore this part of
the post).

That brings us to the history part of this little rant.
California was once a relatively Republican state, if not
a hard-nosed conservative state. In the 60s I walked
neighborhoods on behalf of governor candidate RW Reagan.
Even in 1960 I supported Nixon over Kennedy. Nixon carried California, his state of birth. At some point in that decade California surpassed New York in population. A
whole butt-load of those newbies actually came from
New York. Some of them were affiliated with the movie
industry while others liked the climate, weather, and
jobs. During the 70s and 80s the state gradually leaned
more and more to the left. It was a blessing for many
states because it relieved them from the burden of their
liberal voters. Not so much for NY. The Empire State
managed to find liberals to replace the departed ones. I
assume immigration had something to do with that.

There was several reasons why California became a liberal
state with a wacky reputation. Although changing
demographics may not have been the ONLY factor or even the main factor, it still had a bunch to do with the political
devolution of the state. People moved to California and many of them came from liberal New York. That brings us to now. You are of interest to me because here you are taking a pot shot at California and you reside in New York the other laughing stock state and the state that contributed
most to the liberalization of California other than
California, itself. If you leave this discussion then fine, I want nothing else to do with you. But if you want to continue here I will make sure you open your forum page with a red ping message indefinitely. I have plenty of history material and you may actually like some of it. The other option is to do the right thing and admit that
you could have worded your original post a little better.
