I had a ‘72 Mach when when I was a HS senior in ‘73-74
While the jocks were showering with other guys, I was seeing how many cheerleaders I could pack into my ride.
Once had the entire Junior and Varsity squad in it for a picture.
What I wouldn’t give to relive those days
Things must have really changed since I was in high school in the 60s.
I liked the motorheads, the ones who read “Hot Rod” and thought “Motor Trend” was for the weirdos, but it was the jocks who went out with the cheerleaders.
White with black stripes, blue interior, 351 Cleveland.
I had it until June 23, 1984, when I went to a Cub game at Wrigley Field. Best baseball game I will ever see (Google the date). When I came back to where I’d parked it, it was gone. I had to make a car theft report to Chicago PD, after an extra inning game at Wrigley Field, if you know what I mean. “You sure you parked your car here, buddy? All these streets look the same...”
Six weeks later I got a call from Chicago PD. They found the frame.
I graduated about 5 years before you. You should have seen the babes I got with our battleship gray 1962 Bug! Nothing like slightly warmed oily air blown over cylinder cooling fins to make the gals quiver. Those were the days, indeed.
