Methinks you have swerved into the likely result.

People in Tx are already bleating about that 3.5 magnitude quake that occurred yesterday and attributed it to fracking.

Never mind that hydraulic fracturing had been going on in the area for decades before this.

“People in Tx are already bleating about that 3.5 magnitude quake that occurred yesterday and attributed it to fracking.”

Those quakes are occurring in the vicinity where the old Texas Stadium has been torn down. An earth scientist suggests it is due to one of two reasons:
1. The area had massive amounts of weight from the stadium pressing on the earth; when the weight was taken off in removing the stadium, the earth is adjusting to the removal of massive weight, causing ground shift.
2. The tremendous weight on the ground kept water below the ground trapped - the weight has been removed and the water is dissipating, causing ground shift.
