Oh, I don’t really have a checklist. But a man who is able to hunt deer and elk, bring home the occasional salmon from fishing and accompany and help clam digging, and who won’t give too much backtalk when I request him to rototill the garden, that is what I would hope to find.

I do agree with you about responsible, neat and clean, though.

I never had a checklist or a favored “type”, the man I fell in love with and married was the complete opposite of the types I had previously dated. We celebrate 30 years of marriage (not counting 2 years of courtship) this month. I wouldn’t trade him for anyone else on earth. he’s the head of the house and I like it that way. Someone has to make the final decision in case of a tie, and we both prefer it to be him. He’s never been wrong yet, even when I initially disagreed.
