Austria was also our favorite.
I don’t think she was sent there to do that. It didn’t sound like she dissed them much at all, she just shared an observation and asked others about their opinions.
This reminds me of going to Paoli Peaks in Indiana one year must have been late 80s, yes a ski place in southern Indiana. I was standing in line with my friends and we were goofing off. I gave him a little nudge and he lost his balance and ended up stepping back into someone. The guy got all out of sorts and started yelling at us about how expensive his skis were - after we had already profusely apologized. I lost all contrition at that point and asked why the hell someone with $xxx skis was skiing at a little bump of a hill in Indiana. The look of shock and realization that hit him was classic. Started with an open slack jaw, moved to a ma, ma, ma clapping to end with a frog chinned clamping. Then he got this little fire in his eye that I just broke up laughing at until he finally looked away. About that time the lift came around...so I’m not sure what he would have done if it hadn’t. I still crack up about that.
You might ask Austin Powers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrWuMwRKH2c
Austria, what a dream land, my favorite too. Clear skies, mountains, snow, and we rode horses in the evening after skiing. Don’t get me started, lol!
she wanted to know why ski lifts are organized differently in Switzerland than in America.
