I have not been out there since the summer of 2013 after building the crude by rail terminal on FM 1219 near Wink. I miss it. That's probably the "Railroad PTSD" sayin so, though.

Related to the thread and Pappy's, on one of my stays out there I recall seeing the sign out front of the Monahans McDonald's (right next door to Pappy's) that they were hiring for all positions... starting wage $14/hr. I know somewhere I have a photo I took of the Dominos Pizza in Hobbs looking for delivery drivers for $16/hr... and the Big Cheese Pizza 14-16/hr.
