'They p***ed him off': Conservative Republicans lose committee assignments in retaliation...
The Daily Mail ^ | January 7, 2015 | David Martosko

Iron-fisted U.S. House Speaker John Boehner is moving quickly to punish conservative Republicans who tried to oust him Tuesday during the biennial leadership election.

Hours after the contentious vote, Florida Rep. Daniel Webster – who actively campaigned against Boehner and persuaded 12 GOP members to support him – found himself left off the membership list of the powerful House Rules Committee, where he served for the last two years.

Rep. Rich Nugent, a fellow Floridian who voted for him, suffered the same fate.

'My philosophy,' Webster told reporters after he heard the news that he had been bumped from the committee in a vindictive move, 'is don’t burn any bridges, don’t make it personal.'

'But that's not everybody’s philosophy.'

[BIG SNIP]

......Boehner and his aides had promised in the run-up to Tuesday's mini-drama that there would be no recriminations.

'Boehner has said publicly that there will be no retribution for "no" votes,' his spokesman Michael Steel told The Daily Caller last week.

The speaker also told USA Today in September that no Republicans would lose their committee assignments if they opposed him.

'I just don't think it's necessary,' he said then.

But he also predicted that 'very few' would defect. The 25 who bolted on Tuesday – the largest such group in a century – appear to have changed his mind....

Webster and the other punishees need to band together in a Conservative caucus and make life miserable for JB. Simple rules:
1. Object to any and all unanimous consent requests.
2. Raise points of order at every opportunity.
3. Put forward amendments that delay, delay, delay.

JB wants fight, give him a war.

boner is obviously a leader in the socialist fifth column. Most republicans are.

Letting net recipients of redistributed plunder vote on how much plunder they get is idiocy.

Democracy is the first stage of socialism.

Boehner is nowhere near as intelligent or cunning. He’s a weeping, spineless whore.

As much as I despise Pelosi, I hope she is Speaker again in two years.

I will do what I can to make it happen.

Come on Giles, you don’t really want Pelosi for Speaker again. Let’s use our energy to Primary and defeat every Congress critter in 2016 who voted for Boehner or wimped out and didn’t show up like Trey Gowdy.

Iron-fisted U.S. House Speaker John Boehner should read:

Limp-wristed U.S. House Speaker John Boehner

They, the whole 90% who voted for Boehner are the heart and soul of the Republican Party

Exactly. I did not leave the Republican party, the Party left me.

My Grandfather started the Republican party in the South Texas County that I live in in the early 1900s. He would be ashamed to see what it did to the electoral voters yesterday.

He would be more ashamed of the Texas delegation on the way it voted to oust Boehner. Unbelievable, 3 of 36 decided that Boehner needed to go. These 33 that voted to get along need to be harangued until the cows come home.

One of the worst crimes in politics is to shoot at the King.

However the very worst crime in politics is to shoot at the King and miss.

John Boehner just guaranteed the Democrat will win the 2016 presidential election. Now maybe they can leave all of the commercials off the TV...

Now there is a piece of work. You want a Liberal in Republican clothing, look at him.

He wanted it both ways. He did not want to piss his voters off by voting to keep Boehner and he did not want to lose all his cushy assignments to “select” committees by voting against him. He did not even have the nerve to vote “present” like Obama use to do. Just don’t show up you putz.

Gowdy is nothing but a chest thumping media whore. He never met a camera he did not love.

I'm over voting for the lesser of two evils and it appears others are trending in that direction too. If they launch Jeb, the number of no shows will be mind numbing.

A. Obama is an enemy of the Republic.

B. Boehner supports Obama, giving him what he wants.

C. 216 Republican Congressmen support Boehner, giving him what he wants.

Therefore, yesterday’s vote confirmed 217 enemies of the Republic.

Act accordingly, my FRiends.
