Saw it tonight at 9 EST. Greenish blob at the rear foot of Orion. Used my Minolta 10 by 50. Really good optics even if 25 years old.

How many reincarnations over 8,000 years? LOL!

You are right. What was I thinking. I just realized what lazik would cost me in 10015 under ObamaCare. I need to rethink my options.

Think I finally saw it tonight, that cold air
was clear as a bell. Even with my 10x monocular
it was just a smudge though.

I have a four inch reflector I plan to use when the weather cooperates.

You should see it good with that.
It was 16 degrees here in north ga
and clear, my old eyes just couldn’t
make it out, need to get my spotting scope
but don’t want to go back outside.
It’ll probably be brighter in 8,000 years...

The comets of old must have been spectacular for
the astronomers to have seen them with the naked eye.

I’ll just wait and see it next time.

Even Halley’s comet was better back in 1910!

I’m going to give it a try. Maybe that paleo diet thing I’ve heard about will work?

I pulled out my 4" SCT and went looking for it the other night. I also have a Minolta 10 × 50 binocular that I used first. Next week, I hope to take out my 10" SCT that I haven't used in awhile.
