That card is played out. Nobody's buying the BS no' mo'.

Yeah! Look at the success of recent third parties at the national level...Perot, Nader, Anderson, Wallace.

Damn the reality! Full speed ahead!!

I left after the disastrous 2010 lame duck session in which the GOP refused to muster the forces to fight the repeal of DADT and the ratification of that God-awful START II treaty with the Russians. I vote for conservatives who happen to be Republican, but that (R) tag is meaningless to me, except to toss that POS Harry Reid out of the majority leader status.

“One third of one half is one sixth. The vote would break
- one sixth third party
- two sixth’s Republican.
- three sixth’s Democrat.

Hope you like President Warren.”

President Warren is much better than President Bush III

Utah and Oklahoma would also be at the top of the list. I think they’re among the only states where Obama didn’t win a single county!

I don't consider myself Republican. I vote for them often only due to the massive suckitude of their Democratic opponents.

I'm always on the lookout for a bona fide conservative. My congressional representative (Garrett) is pretty solid.

Perot probably would have won, had he not dropped out the first time. This, despite the fact that he had the charisma of a wet piece of bread, had no party apparatus, came across as bat-*** crazy, had a vp candidate who acted like he shouldn't be driving, let alone being one heartbeat from the presidency (no disrespect intended towards the Admiral), and was going up against two parties which had far less internal divisions than they do now. Citing Perot's loss as evidence that 3rd parties have no chance is, at best, misleading.

Yes. Utah and Oklahoma would lead off the 2016 Republican primary season.

Not sure what your deal is.
Though I see you posting a lot, I can’t connect the dots. Could you please tell me what it is, exactly, that you are advocating for?

We used to talk about “Inside the Beltway” and “Potomac fever”. I think that these terms describe the malady which Republican representatives get once they go to Washington. Too much socialization with the “wrong” people.

John Boehner could make himself a hero by announcing that he no longer wants the speakership.

Conservatives on a conservative website maintaining conservative values and voting for conservative candidates.

Is there something wrong with any of that?

Per se, no problem at all. Until one violates the Buckley rule - i.e. vote for the most conservative candidate who can win. But, I perceive that marks me as a liberal? Does it not, in your eyes?

Way back when, about 30 odd years ago, back when I used to look at the world through rose colored eyeballs and Jim Beam and “BuddyWiser’’ were my good buddies I used to call myself a “Radical Democratic Fundamentalist’’. I'm still trying to figure out what the hell that means and I'm 25 years off the sauce.

Define "success".

I define it as defeating unconstitutional Amnesty Executive Orders.

I define it as overturning horrific health-care-destroying initiatives such as Obamacare.

I define it stopping the Petulant Tyrant from bypassing Congress (and the Senate) outright.

I define it as adherence to the Constitution.

I define it as the stopping of Executive-branch race-baiting in the effort to start a race war.

I define it as reining in an out-of-control EPA.

If you define it as "winning elections", then yes, I see your point.

However, I do not define "success" by that metric.
