Amass evidence...then make your case. No wonder Gowdy doesn't want to be Speaker. He is already a very busy man.
Boehner is the worst GOP House speaker in 50 years.
McConnell will just as bad as the worthless Harry Reid.
Both of them should switch parties.
For what it's worth (not much) I agree with you!! They were voting against Obama and his policies. There was only one other option.
Actually I think the Dem's got disgusted (like we did last election) and stayed home - that's what happens - the other side wins by default.
Ask your incoming rep how he excuses Boehner ramming through more than trillion dollars of funding in a Lame Duck session rather than a simple stopgap measure until the new Congress is seated.
Ask your incoming rep if he would vote for a ‘Border Security Bill’ that also continues to fund Executive Amnesty.
What Boehner is going to do is to introduce a ‘Border Security Bill’ that promises to control the border.
But he is going to continue funding Executive Amnesty which will be buried in the Border Security Bill.
He will coach his members to say that if they don’t fund Executive Amnesty, then Obama will veto the Border Security Bill. So they can’t let that get away.
Here’s an example:
Rep X: Well Mrs. Smith, I just wanted us to finally get some control of our borders and that was my priority. I didnt want to see us lose out on a chance like that.
Mrs. Smith: Yes, but you voted to fund for all those millions to get ID Cards and SSNs, and federal benefits and..and ..
Rep X: Well I agree its a concern, but given a veto by this president or at least trying to get some border control security, well I just had to get what I could get, but certainly your concern I wont forget and I will strongly consider that when funding comes up again next time.
You see how the game is played?
And lastly ask your incoming rep if he knows what happened to all the previous border security legislation that was passed but never implemented.
Still waiting to see someone produce a ballot with ‘Against’ near a candidate’s name.
Yes!! Huelskamp - I was telling my husband this morning that he should be on there. He ran as a tea party kind of guy. Good to see.
Wuss wasnt on the original list but at least he came around. Good enough :)
From the article:
Voted against Boehner in 2013/will support him (3)
Rep. Mick Mulvaney (S.C.)
Rep. Raul Labrador (Idaho)
Rep. Tim Huelskamp (Kan.)**
(**Huelskamp said in November that he won’t commit to voting for Boehner if there is a second ballot.)
The record? You mean YOUR record which is a broken one and just says the same thing over and over and over...? LOL. No thanks.
You're wrong and lie about so many things.
(BTW...I also never said "keep their powder dry" in any scenario you're talking about. You have my permission to peruse my posting history which you seem to spend so much time on to make an attempt to cite your reference.)
You and Bert need to start posting examples of my ‘wrong because saying it is proof of nothing.
.
I agree with you ... I’d announce 15-20 votes against Boehner ... than have another 25 “anti-Boehner votes” waiting silently in the background ...
it’s a POLITICAL CERTAINTY that the “new” House Speaker will richly reward the 30-40 members that vote against Boehner ...
.
Heck no I didn’t read the article. I’m at work so I just glanced at the list and saw him on there.
Guilty as charged (but, my excuse, I’m at work)
actually ... I think we “do” have the 29 votes ... or more ... they’re just waiting quietly ... like a battalion held in reserve for the focused attack ...
Wow is all I can say. Rep. Ellmers from NC says Boehner challengers are “bad actors” seeking media attention. Obviously sees nothing wrong with Democrat in Republican’s clothing Boehner being Speaker.
Neither do Bhoners excusemakers online.
Heh, that would be elucidating if it did work that way...
Although we do have something similar to that for elected judges in NM. The ballots say "Shall 'Xy Zzy' be retained as judge for Zz Xxy Court."
Sadly they never are voted out, but I like the concept.
I “used” to be Newt Gingrich’s biggest fan at Free Republic ... those days are “gone” ...
I thought Gowdy told Hannity no, did I miss something?
It happens. I just thought maybe he’d changed his stance and I missed it or maybe I’d gotten wires crossed.
I’m a conservative. Conservatives don’t elect their problems and search for excuses.
Are you saying conservatism has no place in the GOP?
Lets turn it around. Why are you on a conservative website and not GOP.com?
