Rockefeller bought his AR-15 just as the AWB 94 ban was passed and said citizens didn’t need such weapons but he did because he was a U.S. Senator.
Said he kept it behind the front door in case any ‘rightwingers’ showed up to protest his vote for the ban.

I’m tempted to say that the wrong Rockefeller was eaten by cannibals, but that would be uncharitable so I won’t.
