If you read the constitution, it’s clearly stated there. No mention of other countries.

0bama’s eligibility was based on his mothers citizenship only. I don’t think other considerations were a factor. For that matter, I’m not sure Hawaii was even a state at that time. I could be wrong on that but I didn’t think so. Regardless, 0bama’s mother dictated his citizenship.

Well, we have differing views on the basis for finding Obama to be a natural born citizen. My impression is that the most weight was given to his birthplace, because if he had not been born in the US, the statutory citizenship law would NOT have conferred citizenship to Obama.

Hawaii became a state on August 21, 1959. The birth certificate that Obama's handlers provided to the press for public consumption says that Obama was born on August 4, 1961.

Except she was underage, and there is no proof of birth in Hawaii.
