Youngest Woman Elected to Congress Seeks Middle Ground
WSJ via Google ^ | January 2, 2015 | Mara Gay

WATERTOWN, N.Y.— Elise Stefanik, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, has never held elected office, but her résumé looks more like that of a Beltway insider than a political newcomer.

By the time she won her seat representing a swath of upstate New York in the November election, she had served as a domestic policy aide for former President George W. Bush , a policy director for former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty ’s 2012 presidential campaign and head of debate preparation for vice-presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan .

“Personal attacks are just un-Christian.”

I totally disagree. That is a coward’s way out.

The person has the idea, so it is the person I attack.

Liberals have sissified this nation with the idea that a person can have bad ideas but we are not to hold that person accountable, that only the idea should be attacked. This has allowed people to be dead wrong and hurt others yet remain without accountability themselves.

I am not going to pay to read the rest of this, but the little they present of her resume is the real problem. Where does it say she ran a company, or started a business, or even had a real job? She has no foundation in reality because she has spent her life in politics. We need people that have real life experience in office.

She is a coward that will not state her positions. That means she will waffle based on what it will take to stay elected. We need representatives with an adult sense of backbone, not another spineless wimp whose only position is that to get re-elected.

....House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy both campaigned for her on the trail, offering a preview of the attention she’s sure to receive at the Capitol as she projects an aura of energy and vitality for a party hoping to appeal to younger demographics.

Why don’t you write her a nice letter and try to reason with her as to why she’s wrong, rather than name-calling, Shipmate?

I have no idea where the middle ground is between right and wrong, good and bad, life and death. Those who talk about middle ground are either cowards or liars. Or maybe stupid.

I had trouble posting this cartoon but if you haven't seen it, I think you would appreciate it.
So I linked it below.
Copy and Paste the url in, and it should bring up the cartoon. - Tom

“Why don’t you write her a nice letter and try to reason with her as to why she’s wrong”

Really? You are naïve enough to think such letters are ever read much less it would change her position, that a single letter will overcome her sphere of influences she has in DC?

What other useless wastes of time do you engage in?

Yep. Judged by the company she keeps and that is terrible company.

You are fast for sure

I think that cartoon exemplifies perfectly naive Infidels like Kerry, dealing with Muslims, and other middle of the roaders in politics, and life. - Tom

I started getting grey hair when I was 20. If this girl doesn’t stick to the principles that got her elected, she’ll only be there one term. Then she can make a career calling herself ‘former congresswoman’. Hope that doesn’t happen.

The person has the idea, so it is the person I attack.

Personally insulting people is a SURE-FIRE way for making SURE that they will NOT change and WILL dig in...just to spite YOUR nastiness.

People can change their ideas.
However, if you've already made an enemy of them with PERSONAL insults, then you've lost the war before ANY engagement.

WHY make enemies of people with your nastiness because of their ideas?

For example:
1. Your ideas are stupid.
2. You are stupid because of your ideas.

I choose door number one; you choose door number two. Door number two IS un-Christian and you know it.

Yep.

I really only feel sorry for men who begin to bald in their 20's. It just isn't fair. At least YOU HAVE HAIR to get grey.

My hairdressers always said that many Chinese women have the male pattern baldness with the TOP of the head getting THINNER and THINNER even before menopause. THAT is very sad too.
