In a major positive development, Egypt's President Al Sisi has made an impassioned plea for a "religious revolution" in Islam. Speaking at Al Azhar University in Cairo, Sisi spoke directly to the religious establishment of Egypt:
Is it possible that 1.6 billion people [Muslims] should want to kill the rest of the world's inhabitants that is 7 billion so that they themselves may live? Impossible!I am saying these words here at Al Azhar, before this assembly of scholars and ulema Allah Almighty be witness to your truth on Judgment Day concerning that which I'm talking about now.
All this that I am telling you, you cannot feel it if you remain trapped within this mindset. You need to step outside of yourselves to be able to observe it and reflect on it it from a more enlightened perspective.
I say and repeat again that we are in need of a religious revolution. You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world, I say it again, the entire world is waiting for your next move... because this umma is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost and it is being lost by our own hands.

Rand Paul has of late, become confusing and somewhat worrying.
I dread to think what he would first do if elected President.
They still dress funny.
Al Sisi knows that Obama is a communist-Islamist puppet. He knows that Obama has only ever sided with the ISLAMISTS, not with the non-Islamist Muslims. He’s seen it first-hand.
He knows who has financed Obama. He probably knows how Obama’s financiers were able to take the system hostage. I think it comes down to that Sept 2008 electronic run on the bank, which I believe was economic terrorism on the part of the Islamists (Soros’ buddies); the threat of another run has kept Bush, Ailes, Cheney, etc quiet while Obama was unlawfully installed as if he was POTUS.
I think he may be pleading with these same people to see what Egypt was able to see very quickly: that this is an ideology of death which hurts everyone, and it was a mistake to buy Obama for the purpose of instituting worldwide sharia and destroying the US and Israel - the “Muslim agenda” which Obama privately told the Egyptian ambassador in Jan of 2010 that he supported and would begin to act on once got Obamacare passed. Al Sisi probably has access to that ambassador, who made these claims on Arab TV a couple months after his visit with Obama.
I do hope Al Sisi watches his back. This man seems to “get it”. He seems to grasp the truth, which a bunch of us here at FR were trying to warn people about, but were stopped by a hostage “conservative” media that was instructed to ridicule us so our own “side” would call us “crazy conspiracists”. Al Sisi knows we’re not.
He should be the next Speaker of the House.
Long live Al Sisi, first Arab leader to speak the truth and propose something be done about it.
I see a Nobel peace prize in his future if he survives.
The reformation of Islam will start in Egypt—they always were the odd man out in Islam. They are the home of Belly dancing after all. All the Comics in the Middle East come from Egypt.
I liked Anwar Sadat too ... may God protect Sisi.
Obama, and Bush say Islam is religion of peace, Al Sisi, doesn’t agree.
Odd that Sisi is ISIS spelled backwards. Coincidence???
I think not!
The radicals will handle al Sisi like they did Sadat. He’s a threat to their sick dream. I wish him well.
Despite what Sisi says, yes, it is the duty of Muslims to either kill or convert 7 billion non-Muslims.
In the long run it is us or them.
