Dresden/ PEGIDA?

Anyone close up regarding the PEGIDA movement in Germany? German citizens taking a stand against the insane immigration policies/ Islamization of their country sounds right to me. From here, it sounds like the powers-that-be are demonizing it - reminds me of what they said about the Tea Party.

Curious to have some feedback from those closer in. Thanks.

The best thing about PEGIDA is that it really annoys the politicians. As of today, every party in the Reichstag supports unrestricted mass immigration of muslims. Existing laws require the government to deport asylum seekers that are not politically persecuted in any way, but the government has begun simply to ignore these laws. You can tell from politicians’ reactions that PEGIDA, as well as the new conservative party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD), really, really scare them.

I hope they keep growing. I expect PEGIDA to subside after a while (when people realize that they are achieving absolutely nothing), but the AfD should keep growing, at least!

I’ve spent a lot of time in Berlin and Dresden. People are fed up with the Islamists. There is a comfortable relationship with the Turks. In fact, if you go to parts of Berlin there are more Turks there than Germans. I think Berlin is the second largest population of Turks with only Istanbul having more. But, somewhere along the line, the liberals allowed the importation of the radicals that are bringing their barbaric savagery and living off the government teat. The Germans are getting sick of it. Just like everyone else in Europe. The politically powerful and protected class are alleviating their white guilt by bringing in 7th century barbarians at the expense of the citizens.
