I believe this is due to the Metropolitan Police and the Park Police being made to look completely powerless and craven in the face of several thousand crazy ass Iranians rioting right in front of the White House and up Penn. Ave against the Shah back in the 1970’s. It was an incredible event. The Islamowhacks and commies united and just went berserk. The small number of cops on the scene expecting the usual tame protest were just rolled over and swept away. I think after that the MPD determined that they would not be humiliated again.
Disturbing event that REQUIRES a more forceful response. Otherwise LEO might as well hang it up and go home.

In absence of common sense leadership & governance, sooner than later The Law of Unintended Consequences will merge with human nature’s “I’ve had enough of violent protesters, street thugs and plain old criminals.” Regrettably, US may then experience a new & improved vigilantism as opposed to the official extra-judicial justice as practiced in other countries.
Politicians, civil servants and activists like Sharpton & Jackson escape accountability for the unintended (?) consequences of their acts. Whether malfeasance of elected/appointed office, GSA junkets or Freddy’s Fashion Mart, I want to see some folks loose pensions and do hard time-long time.
That is how police here in NJ responded; in the ‘hood they write accident reports now, nothing else. Considering the size and density of the population (roughly proportional demographically to the country as a whole), NJ has few incidents between police and urban blacks. Our cities may have large numbers of murders, but they remain unsolved because we can’t have tension between police and the “community”. It is safe to say that here in NJ, nobody really even cares what happens in the urban welfare hatcheries as long as it stays there. Since taxes have been sonewhat stabilized, the taps have been turned off and these places are increasingly left to fend for themselves.
As long as Blacks continue to tolerate Blacks killing Blacks, I have no problem with it. As long as the Whites continue to tolerate Blacks killing, robbing, raping, and beating the hell out of Whites, I have no problem with that. I don't like it, but if that is what the whites want.
Most problems between cops and blacks happen when they leave the reservations to plunder & pillage in other areas; THOSE residents won’t tolerate their police standing down (especially here in NJ, where we have many cops making over $100K annually). We’ll just continue segregating even further, and white libs will continue with the delusional thinking that abortion is fixing the problem. It is killing many blacks, but welfare sows still need at least one “golden ticket” bastard to get the freebies (an apartment, welfare, food stamps, free college, etc.). Those kids bred for cash are now the source of friction (crime), especially when they no longer qualify as a “golden ticket”; they are turned out unloved, uneducated, and unskilled.
