You bring up an interesting point. Are Americans no longer fit for self government? If so, what are the options?

Do we opt for a king and a theocracy? If so, who should be the American royal family? The Bushes? Clintons? Rockefellers? What should the American established religion be, and how do we change the 1st Amendment to allow it?

Do we opt for a military dictatorship? Do we simply scrap the Constitution, salute smartly and accept our role as global hegemon in the Roman tradition?

Do we dissolve the Union and let the states form their own nations or merge with existing nations such as Mexico, Canada, Russia and China?

None of this is comfortable for me. But if people really believe that humans cannot govern themselves, then what options are left?

We haven’t been fit to govern ourselves for nearly 40 years.

Everything on that list leads to slavery for Americans.

Also, nothing on that list is endorsed by the Founding Fathers, who actually wanted to establish God’s rule on earth, frankly.

It’s an admittedly bleak view, when one has lost faith in the American people, and it renders a lot of these Constitutional/governmental topics rather moot. There aren’t any real answers. The law and the Constitution are only going to be as good as the people, and the current generational crop of Americans is a pale and pathetic shadow of its forebearers.

Witnessing the lazy disinterest by the public in Obama’s outrageous lawlessness (open-borders and amnesty being a prime example), or the quiet acceptance of such abject evil and moral deviancy (as in the case of homo marriage), there’s really no reason for me to somehow look to politics as offering any kind of remedy. We have leaders who ignore our laws and our Constitution, and basically rule by decree. That’s a dam breaking that isn’t just put back together. It eats on itself, and pushes us into a third-world style banana-republic run by “strongmen.”

Indeed, we might find the only way to combat this is with our ‘own’ dictatorial strongmen, as incredibly distasteful and unpalatable as that sounds.

That is the thought behind my tagline.
