I'd hate to miss the Masters, for example.
My wife thinks that they'll charge us through the nose to just get cable internet and not have that rolled into a TV package.
Where do you live? You might be able to put up an antenna and get quite a few of the live events. It still doesn’t replace ESPN, however.
Play around here:

Cable free and enjoying more content.
Watching what I want when I want.
Antenna in the attic and an android TV box.
Currently using the Keedox A10.
It has a decent operating system on it and does 1080 with ease.
Tried the Gbox, slow and clunky.
OUYA was great but the OS sucked and the interfaces are very limited.
Keedox has good OS, 2 USBs, HDMI, Optical, RGB, one SD slot

Seeing them for $70
This is the one I have

The OS is very good.
BTW, cut our cable 1st week of December...wish I'd done it years ago.
...heh, unless you are talking about some TV show/series(which I don't know about)...and not the golf tournament.
The Masters is on CBS which most folks can get OTA.
The problem I have would be how to get the ESPNs, NBCSN, and FoxSports for football and auto racing. That’s 90% of what I watch on tv.
