Davis has said she will run again for some office, probably in TX, but she will not oppose the Castro brothers in a primary. People in TX haven’t heard the last from her. She will wait for the influx of new immigrant voters to run, probably in 2018.

A few Republicans have been known to lie as well. Consider Mitt Romney’s positions, first as governor of Massachusetts and second as presidential candidate:
Abortion: Pro then opposed
Gay marriage: Pro then opposed
Government health care: Pro then opposed
Had he been elected, which Romney would have shown up?
We have to avoid that in our politics as well. They picked her to run, not because she was so great, but just because the media liked her.
