I've just done up a Rockumentary for 2014, and I had to forewarn people way too many times. But here and there I can find originality and even something approaching beauty.

It's a snapshot as to where our culture is today, and it's disturbing.

I was just checking how I’m going to prepare the scallops this year.. I think I’ll be using a Maple Brown Sugar Drip one they’re cooked.

I also like to freeze half the grapes....they are so good like that! Though usually do this in the summer it just as fun to the food!

Am having a Berry Pie to top things off.

What I love is it’s all pretty simple!

Good evening, radu....made it home safely. Spent some time with my Mom...not a good day for mobility. Finally made it to my computer and had to reboot.

A good party and no hangover....such a good plan.

Got slippery roads up there? Glad you made it home safe and sound. Sorry to hear your mom’s having problems.

It’s been chilly down here but it isn’t nearly as cold as up north. We’re looking forward to Spring - LOL - but it’s a long way off.

Announcements have been on the radio all day each day for the last few days: ALL fireworks, including sparklers, and prohibited in the city/borough limits. Usually there is a huge display downtown each year that I can see some of from the deck

The neighbors across the street usually have some big bangs anyway.

I will be trying to stay awake as we welcome in the New Year for each time zone.

I’m going to call the doc on Monday and find out how to get with Medicare and see about a scooter or electric wheelchair or what is their suggestion. I’ve done everything I can do to keep her safe, but her knees are not cooperating. She needs some sort of help. Otherwise she is healthy.

They advertise that Medicare covers those Hov-Arounds or however you spell it. I wouldn’t mind having one of those. LOL!
If you think your mom would like one of those, I’d ask about it first. They may cover some of the electric wheelchairs, too, if your mom would be more comfortable with one of those.

If her knees are her only health issue, that’s good. A lot of people younger than her have more ailments than you can shake a stick at. She’s a lucky lady.

Boy, oh boy is it cold outside.
We're below freezing and
y'all know how I feel about that!

Our weather had been mild so far,
I mean Christmas day was in the low 50s,
and the nights in the high 30s/low 40s,
which has been nice.
I have another errand to run today
and will have to go out in that brrrrr...

So, yesterday Mr. Beachy comes home sick.
Oh fun, now I'll be spending
the next few days taking care of him
and trying to avoid getting the cold.
I recently bought some homeopathic meds
that I will be trying out.

Time for me to make my rounds.

Your New Year's Eve Style Is Casual

You love New Year's Eve, but you keep it more low key than most folks. You think it's the perfect night for staying home.
You're content to snuggle up on the couch, eat yummy take out food, and watch tv waiting for the ball to drop.

Just because you're staying at home, it doesn't mean you'll be rocking the yoga pants all night. You'll at least put on something sparkly.
And since you're staying home, you can break out the crazy hats, sparklers, and horns. You have no problem with a party of one!
