I remember as a kid my dad took me with his Rotary International Club on a visit to tour inside one of the first 747s at the airport.
Going through some family papers I found an old ad that included my Dad’s townhouse development along with the 747 and a Control Data “super” computer! It was a full page ad with drawings of all three - and how the bank was providing loans to all three to “move us into the future”.
Pretty odd to see my Dad’s family-owned business up there with Boeing and CDC - but I guess that was the point of the ad (small to large loans).
