Your point is well taken. If indeed the West has entered an era of post Christian, neo pagan decadence, it too is in decline and the outcome of this titanic cultural struggle is not certain.

It had an opponent for those 1300 years, and a never-ending struggle between itself and the West. If they gain total power and control, unopposed, it will be their end. They have ever worshiped the hollow space left when G-d hid His presence in order to create the world, and to them Satan is the process of creation itself. That is an unstable world view, that cannot sustain itself without an enemy to fight.
Whether the world will survive the total conquest of Islam is another question. But to be on the safe side, I intend to continue to oppose Islam, rather than foolishly hope it implodes and leaves a few normal people alive in the end.
The West is delusional and impotent. But G-d is alive and He is the Creator of everything, not just the hole he had to make in order to make everything possible. So G-d is on our side, regardless of what Obama, the EU, UN, UNRWA, and the rest of the death-wish crowd want to do or not do.
