Animal cruelty charges against the son and daughter-in-law of U.S. Senator Jeff Flake and two others will be dismissed after new information came to light about the deaths of 21 dogs at a suburban Phoenix kennel in June, prosecutors said on Monday.
Authorities said the dogs died from overheating and suffocation caused by sweltering conditions in a cramped room of the pet boarding facility while the owners were away in Florida, leaving the animals in the care of Austin and Logan Flake.
However, new evidence brought to prosecutors' attention by defense lawyers after the case was presented to a grand jury showed the kennel's air-conditioning unit had stopped working because of a dirty air-filter.

If you have twenty minutes to spare, the owner (mom-in-law of Flake Jr.) speaks in this raw video with lie after lie (IMHO and from reading the 1900 or so pages of the investigation).

They agreed to be responsible. Apparently they didn’t feel it necessary to check on the dogs very often. At least they didn’t check on them often enough.
I will also say the owners should also be held to account.
I have a lot of contempt for all politicians. And you’re very naïve if you don’t believe they get special treatment. I believe very strongly if the daddy was a regular “joe” instead of a senator the Flakes would have been held partially liable.
You say, invoking both love and Christmas solely to express your contempt.
And for what? Why nothing less than the unfair idea that animals don't dehydrate in an instant, and that people responsible for the safety of animals in their care should be held to that responsibility no matter who their daddy is.
Yep, that's a position to rape love and Christmas over, right, conservative?
