The article says it was on the grass verge, which means it wasn't on his property, but on the border of his property.

Plus he didn't have to buy the house.

I don’t know the writers definition of ‘verge’ is. I dislike the Muslim mind set (understatement). But I would not be happy with a large crucifix on my front lawn. A verge might be the area between sidewalk and road that is regulated by the town. I still wouldn’t want it in front of my house.

BTW we have multiple crucifixes IN our house.
