And the bummer is that I used to think Barbour was OK when he was Governor of MS. he even showed up at a Promise keeper convention and provided some spiritual words of encouragement. Turned out to be a typical political hack who lies about his religious beliefs.
Does the Republican party have a death wish? Just coming off of historic wins and here we get this corrupt cabal of so-called leaders who instead represent all that is bad about the party.
Better than 90% of the incumbents who sought re-election got it. Why would anyone think anything would be any different this time around? Perhaps because the media and establishment types told them so?
I voted barbour for Governor twice and thought he did a good job after Katrina, I applauded the new industry he helped bring into the state. I disagreed with him on “eminent domain”, haley wanted to use it in support of commercial enterprises instead of public uses, right of ways etc. Senator McDaniel helped with a bill to limit “eminent domain” and Governor barbour helped defeat the bill, Senator McDaniel led a successful petition drive to get a referendum on it and it passed overwhelmingly. I believe part of the animus on barbour’s part towards Senator McDaniel is due to this, plus barbour is a rino and a vengeful person who apparently believes he is the Mississippi gop. barbour later showed his disdain for Conservatives and his support for amnesty. I later found out he lobbied for amnesty and open borders for Mexico, the bastard apparently did an excellent job of it in DC to our Congress and to the US Chamber of Commerce. All the barbours except Jeppie are toxic and taint any candidate they support. Why is Governor Rick Perry having anything to do with henry barbour? possibly Rick doesn’t care any more about the Conservative vote than haley does, oh wait they with all the other rino bastards say they’re conservative.
