Parting Shot: Outgoing Arizona Gov. Brewer Calls Obama A ‘Failed President’

Parting Shot: Outgoing Arizona Gov. Brewer Calls Obama A ‘Failed President’ By William La Jeunesse

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, stepping down after six years in office where she was a perpetual thorn in the side of the Obama administration, is leaving with a parting shot -- calling President Obama a "failed president."

"He's been a very big disappointment to me," Brewer told Fox News in an interview. "I think he has done things that certainly we would never have expected any president to do -- by executive order and because he says so."

Brewer has spent the last few years locked in legal battles with the Obama administration and others, largely over provisions in her state's strict immigration bill, SB1070.

Multiple times, the federal courts have rejected provisions in the bill as unconstitutional. Even this week, just days before leaving office, a federal court rejected Brewer's effort to deny driver's licenses to young undocumented immigrants known as "dreamers."

Brewer said her biggest disappointment during her tenure was not getting the Arizona-Mexico border secured -- though she tried with SB1070, which would have made it a crime for immigrants to be in Arizona without the proper papers, before that too was struck down.

Brewer, in the interview, rejected the criticism of those who have called her a racist for supporting the bill.

"Those of us born and raised in the southwest are not racists," she insisted. "Those people are our neighbors. We go to church with us. Their children go to school. They marry into our families. This has nothing to do with racism. The bottom line is the rule of law and what it is doing to our country."

Christie is still more conservative than Rick Perry on immigration.

Christie just gave these parasites tuition rates. Perry gave them financial aid.

Christie even rhetorically said “how can they be 2nd class citizens when they are not citizens anyway”.

Whatever his public position, the fact remains that NJ is inundated with illegal aliens; we’ve had a de facto amnesty here for decades. The working ones are leaving because there is little work for them in NJ (with its horrible economy), but those dropping anchor babies are making up a large part of the next generation of Jerseyans.

This is what people don’t seem to understand:

Jan Brewer supports congress passing amnesty for illegals for our “broken system”.She thinks the state immigration law is a stopgap. BS! Arizona’s immigration law should be applied nationally.

She supports Jon Kyl, McCain and Pete Rios backed Brnovich.

Kobach and Joe Arpaio went with the incumbent.

Ducey’s a closet RINO but Jan Brewer endorsed the most liberal Mayor Smith and encouraged Thad Cochran type tactics to try to get Mayor Kyoto elected.

Russell Pearce deserves more credit as does Kobach.

Brewer also vetoed a bill that upheld religious freedom against the militant homosexual agenda. She caved in to elites worried about Arizona’s homophobic reputation.

I don’t play that game anymore.

Both major parties are moving us in the wrong direction, especially when it comes to spending money and increasing our national debt.

That CR Boehner just passed was done deliberately by the GOP leadership to carry big spending through to next fall, when they will again pass a big whopper spending bill saying they don’t want to lose the 2016 election.

“She had a chance to lead her state against the most unpopular president of all time.”...........

When you have the Federal Courts stacked against you, how does one expect to win? She made an effort at least and that is FAR MORE than many other Governors did or have done.

They forced her to support amnesty, Obamacare and McCain. I dont even think Justice Roberts would support McCain.

I think that day on the Tarmac BHO scared Jan Brewer. She was very shook up in an interview right after that. He leaned over and put his hand on shoulder and said something to her and she was never the same after that. She basically disappeared.

"But Jan stood firm. SB1070 helped Arizona immensely: the parade of foreign parasites headed east on I40 and west on I10 gave the state breathing room which has good effect to this day."

Damn right! The change around Phoenix was so amazing we thought about moving back.

He passed his policies, he passed his budgets, he gets the Republicans to do whatever he wants, he gets to do what they won't agree to with executive orders and they don't try to stop him. He may be the most successful President ever.

Success is always going to be defined by whether the President got accomplished what he set out to do, not by how well the American people are living. Lenin was successful. Castro was successful. Mao was successful. But their people suffered. Reagan was only partially successful. He had to constantly fight a Democrat House, and was able to slow the growth of big government, but not set it on a path of reduction. He couldn't even get rid of the Department of Education, a little tiny brand new agency, and now look at what Obama can do with it to our nation's kids.

Reagan was successful. Obama has been more successful.

What's even crazier is that probably half the Democrats don't think he did enough, not socialist enough. I wish I could point to one Republican that got as much of the things he wanted enacted while in power. Yes O'Bastard is successful indeed, very successful. Unfortunately his success comes at the cost of the republic.

He has two more years with Caesarean power. God help us.

Thats one take.

Recall that initially the Rats got nowhere because of republican solidarity.

Obamacare was their desperate attempt to show they were in the game. Passed without a single Republican vote.

Hussein was going nowhere fast.

But then the MSM and the Rats pushed the “do nothing” Congress line.

Boner started rolling over. He cant take criticism like that. Too image conscious.

And the republicans went along with the bailouts because in the end, they dont buy their own line. Their corporate donors were screaming - save us! We’re going down! So they went along with the money printing.

Boner only represents K street. The Rats understand that - they’re corrupt too. As long as he gets half a trillion of Other Peoples Money to pass out, he’ll go along with anything from their side.

So from that standpoint, yeah. Hussein is “succesful”. When you consider his competition - a pair of sleazy, unprincipled grifters - he’s pretty much got their number, right?
