This one’s a little surprising. Yes, at the moment the officer shot him, Hamilton had gotten hold of the officer’s baton. BUT, by most accounts (including the police department’s), the officer provoked the entire confrontation (the guy was fired for that). Tough call.

its doesnt matter...in that there will be calls for dead cops..regardless of ANY circumstances....and sharpton will be very near front and center

It was a ridiculous firing. He was fired for patting down a guy who had been lying down in the middle of a walkway with his limbs twitching.
