Bratton: Cops shouldn’t have turned backs on de Blasio
NY Post ^ | December 22, 2014 | David K. Li

EXCERPT

Commissioner Bill Bratton acknowledged that de Blasio has lost support of some police.

“I don’t think it (the hallway protest) was appropriate, particularly in that setting, but it’s reflective of the anger of some of them,” Bratton told NBC’s “Today” show.

(snip)

“I don’t know that an apology is necessary,” he said. “One of the things, a concern at the moment, is this issue is really starting to go down partisan lines, Republican-Democrat. This is something that should be bringing us all together, not taking us apart.”

I’m sorry but this has always been down Democrat Republican lines. It wasn’t Republican voters looting and rioting and chanting wanting “Dead cops”. It wasn’t a Republican saying “burn this bitch down”. It wasn’t Republicans hyping the racial angle for pure political gain with low class blacks. This “come together” bs is just the typical left wing tactic when their misbehavior and rabid politics blows up. Sorry I’m not the type that “comes together” with those who sowed the poison that led to two cops getting shot in cold blood.

Right, even when the dictator turns his back on you it’s never appropriate for you to turn your back on him.

I eagerly await the day that I can attend DeDorio’s funeral so that I can give it’s body the one fingered salute.

Send the SOB to Harlem in a police uniform, unarmed.

Let nature take its course.

His life is worth nothing, nothing!

Another piece of filth who should be removed from office. First thing this puke did when he first took the job was bash Ray Kelly even though Ray Kelly reduced the homicide rate to barely 300 a year as compared to 2,000 under Dinkins. Now it’s going to go up again thanks to this jackass and the commie Mayor demanding cops leave the gangbangers alone and instead tackle those who sell cigarettes because nothing is more important than taxes.

Bratton should have know better than to accept the job under DiBlasio. Tells us where he stands. The time for both of them to speak up was when the cops were beat up on the Brooklyn Bridge.

Comrade Di Blasio is lucky they only turned their backs rather than their guns on him. His has been inciting violence against the NYPD.

Yeah, Bill. Let’s come together so we can get kicked again.

Perhaps DeBlah, Blah could get Farakhan to send over a security detail to protect him.

Here's what he had to say after his election:

Make no mistake: the people of this city have chosen a progressive path, and tonight we set forth on it, together.

Well.....welcome to leftist progress.

Bratton has lost any respect the NYPD cops might have had for him.

Bratton actually has a Boston (Dorchester) accent.

I have a 1930-40’s style NY accent from growing up listening to my parents and grandparents Bronx accents. I never lived a day in NYC.

It's telling that the police commissioner is not 100% behind the mayor. This is as close as Bratton can get to telling him off without forcing the mayor to fire him.

I would respect Bratton more if he publicly resigned in protest.
