I’ve seen too much firsthand to cut them any slack (and I’m not referring to anything in the news ,, I really mean firsthand), if they want respect they have to earn it the same as the rest of us. The first step for them is to “just say no” to illegal orders that abuse OUR rights, and a stop to the favoritism shown in legal venues. They are NOT above us ,, they are our employees ,, yet they can murder me at 3am in a no-knock raid and walk away with a paid vacation at my survivors expense ,,, however a stinking police dog if injured would get me decades in jail for injuring an “officer”.
