The problem with Sharpton and others like Jackson and to a large extent Jackson is the want all the trappings and honors of leadership without responsibility.
if one assumes a role of leadership then one has to act with a broader view. One that takes into account the reactions to ones actions, to think in terms of what makes the most sense as opposed to what makes the most noise.
It’s not enough to say, “i can handle the heat.” Taking the heat doesn’t make one a leader. Thats not the end all of responsibility.
