response time just doubled. The effective size of the NYPD was just cut in half. Cops that can find another career will do so. Cops that can relocate to another city will do so.
Both of those groups are exactly the cops you don’t want to lose. What the NYPD will be left with is a rotten core of corrupt cops that don’t give a damn.
They will never get all those worms back in the can. NYC is screwed.
Stupid people make stupid choices and elections have consequences.
If NYers want to have a semblance of security they should first get rid of de Blasio.
