Effectively, there will be a curfew -- but it will be a curfew of cops patrolling high crime neighborhoods.
NYPD's aggressive policing didn't begin until Giuliani was elected. The cops knew he had their backs if they went out on a limb -- or at least that he wouldn't saw the limb off while they were standing on it (like de Blasio).
I have always liked Rudy Giuliani, because his leadership cleaned up NYC. I would have voted for him for President, or someone like him.
There are always a few bad apples in any big city police departments, but for the majority these are dedicated men/women, and supporting them should be paramount in the elected officials.
We need people in political offices who know what to do, other than scratch their ‘kahunas’, one must use them in the right way. Giuliani was a blessing to NYC> I wish NYC would call for Mayor de Blasio to step down. Al Sharpton should be banned from NYC.
I think this fiasco will ensure a Republican Mayor in the next cycle.
