Authorities were searching for a gunman after a TV meteorologist was shot multiple times during an altercation Wednesday in a Central Texas TV station's parking lot.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says the shooting occurred around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday outside KCEN-TV's rural studio on Interstate 35 near Bruceville-Eddy, 75 miles north of Austin. No motive has been determined and it is unclear if the shooter has any ties to the station.
The suspect is described as a white, balding man in his 30s. He is said to have been wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans at the time of the shooting...
The station website reports the suspect exchanged words with the victim, on-air meteorologist Patrick Crawford, before pulling out a handgun and shooting several times. Crawford backed his car away from the shooter and drove up to a highway construction crew that called 911. Jim Hice, the station's news director, says Crawford was wounded in the shoulder and the abdomen.
WacoTrib.com reported that Crawford was stable and resting after undergoing surgery. It is believed Crawford was hit at least two times, but authorities recovered at least 12 shells at the scene.
Crawford said he did not know the man who shot him.
Police think the suspect fled into the wooded area behind the station.
Trooper D.L. Wilson said law enforcement was constructing a forensic map of the scene and said it was still not clear if Crawford knew the suspect...

It’s usually wrong 99% of the time. Since you can’t do anything about the weather(listen up u.n. and warmunists) someone did something about the weather prognosticator.

As a kid 50 something years ago, there was a retarded childlike man who walked up and down a large road in my neighborhood . He talked kindly to everyone on the avenue. But he had a trigger that would turn him from happy go lucky to angry. If someone said to him “Vincent,,,it’s gonna rain today “ he would get extremely agitated and scream obscenities and looked like he was ready to attack. (There was some kids in middle school who would purposely instigate)
Perhaps the shooter was such a mental case only ‘heeled’.

One of my co-workers is gay and he confided that he had a tryst with one of the local tv station weathermen in Austin. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I couldn’t rule out any of them on local tv. They might all be gay.
If that’s true about the Waco market, it adds more light to this shooting and what possible motives there might be and why the media is not telling everything.

In the town where I grew up, many local television personalities had a major inability to keep things in things their pants.
Today, so many of them are also part of things heir he drug crowd that I wouldn’t rule out having not paid a drug dealer.
My first thought was things heir heh ought hat this was some stoner on a meth paranoia trip, but then I remembered television people I am familiar with and adopted a more wait and see posture.

My first guess is a dispute over payment for drugs. My second guess is a homosexual lovers’ quarrel.
If it turns out it’s a random nut, I will happily admit I was wrong.
In this day and age, I would speculate it was a lovers quarrel.

Meteorologists in the local metro here have tended to be homosexual to a disturbing degree, going back to one from the sixties and seventies who was apparently notorious in the public parks, but the general public didn’t find out until well after he passed away if at all. He was fairly beloved, did other shows, appearances, parades. All is not as it seems, especially with movie and television figures.
The Weatherman could very well be straight and his TV good looks got him a g/f or two and a jealous boyfriend or husband or even his wife — hired a hit man...
