Klamath Falls, Ore. -- Children caroling inside the Klamath Falls Walmart say they were kicked out Thursday night and told to leave or police would be called.
Parents tell NBC5 News that a group of students from Henley High School were caroling at the Klamath Falls Walmart Thursday night when they were asked to leave in a manner that frightened some of the kids.
A manager at the Klamath Falls Walmart declined to comment. We are told however, that the students were not invited to be there and the singing was on private property.
According to another parent, who recorded the above video, the children left the Walmart and headed to Fred Meyer where they say they were welcomed and allowed to sing. You can find that video here: http://on.kobi5.com/1DR2VSb
We've reached out to Walmarts corporate office regarding the incident but haven't heard back.

Ok.....so why couldn't the person-in-charge have simply asked them to stop temporarily while the announcement was made ? Common sense appears to be dead...
Erasing the Christian spirit from commerce turns Christmas into a purely materialistic, unethical venture. No thanks. Stop shopping with the gimme animals.
Shop on the internet with Christmas music in the background and the love of Christ in your heart.
Count back change?
Seriously?
If it weren’t for cash registers that do the math, no shopper would ever leave a store with correct change from their purchase.
Because He died for the whole world.
Or A-rab.
Seriously, caroling is well and good and appreciated by many, and while carolers can approach a private home unexpectedly, to approach a business it is always polite to call ahead.
Many businesses love carolers, and if called ahead of time will even go out of their way to be friendly with them. But just showing up fills many managers with trepidation and anxiety.
And this goes even further with Wal-Mart, because it is extremely “top down” in its management, so much so that the temperature inside every Wal-Mart is controlled by its company headquarters. So were the carolers to call Wal-Mart first, their store manager would *have* to call their headquarters, and only if they approved (which they might), would he be comfortable with it.
Wal-Mart generally loves Salvation Army bell ringers, for example, so they are not just faceless corporate types.
Threatening to call the cops was a rational and measured response to a group of kids signing Christmas carols.
It wasn't all that long ago that carolers would show up at the doors of strangers and sing. That probably doesn't happen today as much because the kids are afraid of being shot or having the cops called on them.
People are taking themselves far too seriously these days and the descent of society continues......
I agree with you on that part.
